the province. It has a freshwater brook which warms the swimming
area.

The Hollies - A Ghost Story
In September of 1775 a massive hurricane struck Newfoundland, the squid had come late to Northern Bay that year so the water was full of small boats. The weather changed quickly and the boats were soon dashed to pieces. In the days that followed many waterlogged bodies washed ashore. These bodies were buried in a mass grave on a bluff overlooking the Bay. Soon, many locals claimed that they were able to hear the cries of the drowned men. The moans and cries of these men became known as "the hollies".
