Whiteway, named for Newfoundland Prime Minister, Sir William Whiteway, is another very pretty town in Trinity Bay. The new 9-hole Pitcher's Pond Golf Course opened in the summer of 2005. The course overlooks the ocean in Whiteway, and it "has gently rolling terrain, mature stands of trees, stream channels and wetland areas that provide the opportunity to create an outstanding golf experience."
Maple Ridge Folk Art Studio supplies high quality traditional crafts, including tole painting and hand crafted stain glass. Brown's Restaurant, which overlooks Shag Rock, provides a varied menu which includes traditional Newfoundland seafood. (Be sure to arrive early because they are very busy in the summer months!)
